Goluboitza cave diving expedition – 2009
From 13 to 19 September 2009 in the region of the upper flow of the river Arda , Rhodope Mt., Central part of South Bulgaria took place the serial cave diving expedition in this area - ”Goluboitza-2009”. The event was organized by Bulgarian Federation of Speleology and hosted by Speleo club “Mursalitza” – Smolyan.

At 13 September the leader of the expedition Trifon Daaliev gather 15 cave divers from the speleo clubs “Stdenetz”-Pleven, “Puldin”-Plovdiv, NEPIAST – Burgas , “Mursalitza”-Smolyan and “Lucifer” The main aim of the expedition was to continue the exploration of the famous cave system Goluboitza (Golubovitza). Last year the cave was surveyed to the second sump located at 1666 m form the cave entrance and the explored length of the system rised to 1896 m – 3 rd longest in Rhodope Mt. At 14 September the cave divers passed the first sump located at climbed 20 m in the unexplored chimney upstream. The next day was more successful. Orlin Kolov supported by M.Ivanov, A.Inev and N.Agov passed the 2 sump of the cave (length 40 m, depth – 7 m). On the opposite site of the sump Orlin was stopped by vertical passage, which need safety climbing so get back! One day later 7 cave divers went to the second sump transporting the heavy cave diving gear. Two of them K.Kolevski and M.Ivanov passed the second sump and climb the vertical passage +3 m. The further passage was 50 long and led to the third sump. The divers noticed that the half of the river water falls from gallery located 10 m above – but they don’t have climbing gear to reach it. M.Ivanov dived 45 m in the 3rd sump but because of some technical problems get back. The actual length of Goluboitza Cave System is 2031 m.
During the expedition was continued the exploration of the Borikovos’ karst spring. Its exploration started at 2008 when N.Tomov and L.Mironov from SC “Puldin”-Plovdiv the first sump 50 m long in depth 4 m. and entered in dry passage. The spring is used for water supply of the village so the time of exploration was limited. That’s why now the explorers in the face of N.Tomov, G.Nedev and K.Kolevski haven’t enough time for exploration and surveying. The explored dry passage after the first sump was 90 m followed by second one 50 m long and 10 m deep. Then the cavers entered a gallery in length of 50 m and was stopped by new sump. Its length was only 20 m. after which the team reached well-decorated passage consist of a big room. The exploration was stopped in front the 4-th sump where the approximate explored length of the cave is 360 m. The exploration of the both caves will continued next year.

FYRO MACEDONIA
Expedition Jakupica - 2009
Expedition 11 members participated in the SSS and 1 geologist from Kosice Imrich. Majerníčková, Psotka, bowls, Štubňa, Szunyog, Očkaik, Kapucian, Budaj, woodcock, and Šmoll.
Our efforts to undermine report Macedonian cavers who were fitting out the cave to a depth of 200m, the cave is closed by snow and ice. Nevertheless, we decided to survey the plains and pits itself Slovačka. Thus, several other cavers lost interest, which is, of course.
Upon arrival at Jakupicu we immediately went to check the situation in the cave. Unfortunately Macedonians were right, according to a map / is well have a good map /, we found that snow or ice appears to lie at a depth of 60 meters and a depth in just 72 to 74 m at constrictions, which is about the end of the ice plugs.
We continued to survey Plateau Karadzic, the result is the discovery of the cave / explorer Štubňa /, the map is processed meter, the length is about 150 m.
After three days we have moved into military areas of Boro box, western part of the plains. Even in very bad weather, we conducted a survey of the highest mountains / Milenkin Stone 2247 m /.
In one of the discovered gap of about 2180mnm, Šmoll descended to a depth of 30 to 40 meters using a rope, the gap continues. Then we moved from Boro pola directly to a military base, and we examined the plains Suva.
The northern part of the mountain is Jakupica Suva Planina, somewhere from Milenkovho stone canyon to Mother.
This area is drained by bubble out warmly, there again this year by Italian divers worked and the result is reached-190 meters depth, the cave has a large hall seats up to 30 meters wide from the depths of 190 meters continued obliquely downwards further two tubes, one with a diameter of 10 to 12 meters the second from 15 to 17 meters. Springs is at 330m.n.m. so now the lowest point in the glowingly 140m.nm
Next year, divers preparing further action they wish to overcome the limit of 200 meters and go further, deeper.
Plateau rises above the cave 2247mnm up to 20km in length. There we found mentioned gap / app 2180mnm / Slovačka While Karadzic will pit the gateway to the Massif Karadzic, so that bubble out can be a gateway to Suva plains. Hydrological cannot is the highest-lying warmly and now divides 2 100 meters and divers can change this number significantly.
During a survey of Suva Plateau, we have examined a number of gaps and caves noteworthy discovery caves Jasika, / 200 meters in length / of nice decorations and a continuation of the meanders of drafts, but it is slightly extended entrance. The cave is located a few meters from the forest road and is suitable for disclosure.
The symbolic end of the survey in the mountains Jakupica dinner was the director of this territory, with the promise of large aperture closure of the entrance to pit Slovačka and exportation of container by helicopter before the entrance to pit Slovačka.

MONTENEGRO
Durmitor - 2009
Earlier here we wrote about the belgians discovery in Durmitor mountain, Montenegro. Now we have some more deatiled information, some pictures of the cave here. Between 13.7 – 19.8 2009 there was an exploration camp organized by the Montenegro Speleological society, and the ASAK club from Belgrade. In the period from 13.7. to 1.8. on the ground were cavers from Belgium (from several clubs). In repeated tour to the cave AB 308, which was investigated earlier 2004th,and had a snow plug at -40 m depth, they found a passage which continued, and reached -440 m. Due to lack of time, they stopped the research, and their team will continue in 2010th. The pit was named Flis. The caver camp was also attended by numerous people from polish and croatian caving clubs. Polish cavers from KKS and TKTJ clubs pushed X11-08 cave to -232m, where they found no continuation, but they found a phreatic passage at the depth of -120m. The croatian cavers helped in transporting the material, and they also organized a small rescue for a polish caver who was injured by rockfall in X11-08. The original aim of the croatian team was to dive in Jama na Vjetrenim brdima, in a side passage at -437m, but this was not possible due to technical problems

Prokletije – Bjeshket e Namuna- 2009
Report of WKTJ, Speleoklubu Swietokrzyskie and Speleoklubu Świętokrzyskiego i Akademickiego Klubu Grotołazów (Kraków) from the polish expedition in the Belic massif.
The expedition took place in the period from 19 July to 9 August 2009 (some people began to work a week earlier).
The aim of the expedition was to continue exploration in 2007, 2008 and spring 2009 trip. Part of the activities were conducted in the eastern part of the massif (in the vicinity of Bora pass, pass of Preslopit and Summit Kalata). This regions deepes explored cave, Jaskinię Lodowa which was explored to approximately -420 m depth (for reasons of time surveyed to -165 meters) – the exploration will continue, due to the water, during the winter. An interesting discovery in this area is the Jaskinia Kolektor (93 m depth, 602 m in length measured).
In the region of bases last year (around Summit Rosita, Summit Sokolit, Breg Maljsor) was completed to explore in the cave Jaskini Wrota Piekieł (143 m deep). Two new interesting discoveries in this area include Jaskinia Guzikowców (112 m depth) and the Jaskinia Fińskich Drwali (95 m deep), where the expedition will return next year. Search was conducted simultaneously on the surface, as a result of which was checked several holes.
In total, over 1700 meters new survey was taken.

SLOVENIA
Expedition Cachna jama
An international expedition of 31 czech and 9 hungarian cavers discovered approximately 1km of new passage in Kacna Jama, Slovenia. The new parts were discovered by diving in the final part of the cave, which was a quite complicated task, because the materials had to be transported trough the 200m deep entrance pitch, and after trough several lakes passable only by boats. Two underground camps were used to make a supply chain to the terminal siphon of the cave, 5 km far away from the entrance.
