According the decision taken in General Assembly Meeting of the Balkan Speleological Union (BSU) held in 26 June 2009 in Olimpos – Turkey, BSU calls every national speleological organisations in Balkan Peninsula for the organisation of the next Balkan meetings for 2011 and 2012. This multi-national event would be chosen for that year, as the « Meeting-Point » for every cavers in Balkan .
These events are important for the life of Balkan speleology, and the development of the exchanges among Balkans. The national speleological organisations willing to apply for the organization of one or more of these events should send by email at alex@speleo-bg.com 1-page application form here enclosed + an exhaustive proposal before 30 of May 2011. Please fell free to ask your questions by email.
Viorel Lasku the President of BSU arrange the sponsorship of Beal for 3 annual events of BSU starting from 2011!

The big European Speleological Meeting Point this year will be the 6th EuroSpeleo Forum in Marbella-Spain on next 23-25 September. Before that the FSE will be present at the Balkan Cavers Camp 2011 that will be held in Samokov village - Makedonski Brod municipality in FYRO Macedonia from the 29th of June to the 3rd of July 2011, that is a also an FSE EuroSpeleo Project 2011. For those who don't know this event, it is one of the major annual event of the BSU (Balkan Speleological Union - www.balkan-speleo.org ) with which the FSE has very close friendship speleological relationships.

International expedition Maya Arapit 2011

The Bulgarian Federation of Speleology invites you on the second international expedition in the Maya Arapit cave, located in Teth village, the North Albanian Alps. It will take place in the period 15.07 - 15.08.2011
The main working directions are as follows:
- to continue the climbing of the ascending of the meanders and pits in both directions;
- to fulfil bio speleological studies;
- to map of the not surveyed sectors;
- to improve the passages to the underground camps;
- if possible, to conduct a field research of the high valleys, located in close vicinity.
The base will be a tent camp, located in front of the entrance of the cave, on a altitude of 1100 meters.
The temperature in the cave is approx. 2°Ñ, there is a running water within the cave.
The needed personal equipment is as follows:
- for penetration of vertical, cold and wet caves;
- camping equipment.
The participants should wield the following skills:
- Free and aid climbing;
- Cave surveying;
- Application of methods for enlargement of narrow places.
The participants have to assure their transport to the base camp and the needed personal equipment. The common equipment and the food will be provided by the organizers of the expedition. The participant will have to pay in the budget of the expedition 4ˆ per day.
The applications are to be accepted until the 15.06.2011
