BALKAN CAMP 2010 - ROMANIA
The Romanian Speleological Federation with the support of the Balkan Speleological Union organizes the 4th edition of Balkan Cavers Camp between 15th -18th July 2010 in Padis – Natural Park Apuseni,
Bihor Mountains, administrative jurisdiction of Pietroasa village, Bihor County.
During the Balkan Camp there will also take place an International Cave Rescue Excercise at Cetăţile Ponorului Cave on 17th July 2010. Details about this exercise are included.

Prehistoric cave paintings in Romania

The cavers Tudor Rus (Caving Club Speodava Ştei), Mihai Besesek, Valentin Alexandru Radu, Roxana Laura Ţoiciu (Caving Association Arad Speowest), Marius Kenesz (Caving Club Zarand Brad) found in a cave in Romania Paleolithic paintings.
The cave, called Coliboaia, is situated in the Apuseni Natural Park, Bihor County – Romania. It is crossed by an underground river, which forms many sumps, making exceptional, but difficult the passage through the cave. "
